Wrestling event coming to Keokuk

On Saturday, Oct. 28, Keokuk High School and KRNQ 96.3 and Withers Broadcasting will bring an evening of professional wrestling back to Keokuk. World League Wrestling is coming to town and showcasing the show is eight-time World Champion Harley Race as well as a man he managed all the way to the gold in WCW, “The Total Package,” Lex Luger.
There will be five matches that night. In title action will be the WLW Tag Team Champions Ty Dalton and Angelo. Also lacing up their boots will be third generation superstars Ted Jr. and Mike Dibiase. The WLW Champion, Daniel, also will lock horns in a championship match as he defends his gold. The Ladies of World League Wrestling also will be tying up.
This wrestling extravaganza will take place at the Keokuk High School. Race and Luger will have an autograph signing at Bottom's Up from 3 to 5 p.m. the day of the event. Advance tickets are available at the Bottom's Up, County Market, Arrowhead Bowl or by calling Brandon at 319-795-6713.
Part of the proceeds of the event will got toward the construction of Keokuk High School's new weight room and track. The doors open at 6 p.m., and bell time is 7 p.m.
