Goetz leads Saint Ambrose to win in tournament
CHICAGO - Jennifer Goetz, a graduate of Cardinal Stritch High School, scored 21 points and pulled down 12 rebounds in Saint Ambrose University's 67-58 win over Siena Heights University in the opening round of the St. Xavier Christmas Tipoff Tournament Wednesday.
Goetz was 8-of-15 from the field, including 2-of-3 from three-point range. She also was 3-of-4 from the foul line.
St. Amborse, 10-4, advances to the semifinals to play St. Francis at 5 p.m. today. St. Francis advanced with an 85-81 win over Huntington University.
