QUINCY, Ill. - Quincy University's drama club, Brother Sun Sister Moon Players, will perform “The Great Gnome Caper” Thursday, March 22 through Sunday, March 25 at MacHugh Theatre in Francis Hall at 18th and College streets, Quincy.

Student night will be Wednesday, March 21. Doors will open every night at 7:30 p.m. with a show time of 8 p.m. except Sunday, which will be a 2 p.m. showing. Admission is $3 for anyone with a Quincy University ID and $5 for the general public.

“The Great Gnome Caper” was written by QU senior Derek Hauk. Hauk, who spent two year writing the script, will also co-direct the play. Hauk describes the play as a dark comedy that uses the classic noir structure. “I just love the classic film noirs, the structure and the sort of moral ambiguity,” said Hauk. “But it's also very modern in its sensibilities with a healthy dose of absurdity and social satire.”

Brother Sun Sister Moon Players is a student-run organization dedicated to promote, facilitate and nourish the dramatic arts in the Quincy University community. For more information, contact the QU office of public relations at 217-228-5275.
