Two apparent scams have shown up in the Keokuk area

A company known as Community Athletic Publishers is selling advertising for high school athletic schedules, which has not been approved by the Keokuk Community School District, according to Keokuk High School Activities Director Mike Niece.
In addition, refrigerator magnets and directories are being sold door-to-door on behalf of the Keokuk Area Chamber of Commerce. However, it is not endorsed by the chamber, according to Executive Director Katie O'Brien.
