Dowdall lifts Hawks to sweep

ROLLA, Mo. - Quincy University senior Greg Dowdall, a graduate of Hamilton High School, picked up a save and a win in the Hawks' doubleheader sweep of Missouri-Rolla Saturday.

Dowdall pitched the final inning in game one. He allowed just a bunt single and picked up his third save of the year in a 12-10 win. Quincy rallied from a 10-5 deficit with seven runs over the last three innings.

In game two, Dowdall pitched a nine-inning complete game in a 2-1 Quincy win. He allowed seven hits and finished with two walks and four strikeouts.

Dowdall is 4-2 on the season.
