Around the Tri-State Area this weekend Today, Saturday and Sunday
Hamilton Homecoming Days continues, with most activities at Gordon's Grove.
Supper in the Park is set for 5 to 7 p.m. today at Gordon's Grove. Bluegrass by Big River Bluegrass with Mike Clifford and Friends will be held at the bandstand. A youth dance with music by Prime Cuts is scheduled from 7 to 10 p.m.
Saturday's activities include breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. at the Hamilton High School cafeteria, Rodeo in the Park at noon, coed sand volleyball tournament at 4 p.m., Hamilton “Idol” Contest at 5 p.m. at the tennis court and music by Mad Hoss Jackson from 7 to 11 p.m. at Gordon's Grove.
Sunday's schedule is: breakfast from 7:30 to 11 a.m., community church service at 10 a.m. at Gordon's Grove, Bike and Car Show, and cemetery walk at Oakwood Cemetery.

The Marilyn Hart Summer Children's Theatre will bring “Annie, Jr.” to life at the Grand Theatre in Keokuk.
Show times are 7:30 p.m. today and 2 p.m. Saturday.
More than 40 students in grades 4-7 from around the Tri-State Area are in the show. The lead actors are strong singers.
Admission is free, but donations will be accepted to help defray production costs.

Relay for Life will be held at Rand Park in Keokuk, starting at 6 p.m.
A picnic for cancer survivors and their families will be held at 4:45 p.m.
The Big Band Era sound of the New River City 6 will be featured in the first of three free concerts at 6 p.m. in Old Settlers Park in Fort Madison.
The Lee County Pork Producers will grill pork loin, with the Kious family and friends serving sandwiches, sides, cold drinks and ice cream sundaes at 5:30 p.m.
Saturday
Warsaw, Ill., celebrates its third annual RiverFest at Riverfront Park along the Mississippi River.
Activities include a flea market and car show at 9 a.m., horse shoe tournament at 10 a.m., cardboard boat regatta races in the fish pond at 11 a.m., dunk tank at 11 a.m., kids' tractor pull at 1 p.m. and volleyball tournament at 1 p.m.
The beer tent will be open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Food will be served, starting at 11 a.m.
Jerad Harness of Warsaw will sing from 2 to 4 p.m., followed by the Beck Boys from 4:40 to 6:30 p.m. and a local band, Staggard, from 7 to 11 p.m.
The Warsaw Community Women's Club will sponsor a Duck Dash in the evening. A raffle also will be held.

The Cabela's King Kat Tournament Trail comes to Lake Cooper on the Mississippi River at Fort Madison.
The tournament will provide local and regional catfish anglers an opportunity to compete for cash, prizes and a chance to advance to Cabela's King Kat Classic on Milford Lake in Kansas.
Weigh-in will be held at Riverview Park in Fort Madison. Tournament hours are 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. All fish will be released after the tournament.
