Lady Hawks fall to Crusaders
WEST POINT - Holy Trinity erupted for seven runs in the third inning and held on to defeat Central Lee 10-7 in a SEI Superconference South Division softball game Wednesday.
Central Lee had a 4-2 lead when Holy Trinity scored seven times in the third. The Lady Hawks chipped away with single runs in the fourth, fifth and seventh, but it wasn't enough to knock off the Crusaders.
“One inning did us in again,” said Central Lee Head Coach Darrell Krehbiel. “Otherwise we played real good ball tonight.”
Brooke Bryant was 2-for-4 with a run scored for Central Lee. Tiffany Barton had a single and two runs batted in. Kelsey Hammer added a double and an RBI, and Shawna Wilson, Caitlin Pardall, Jordan Keller and Micheala Burt each had a single.
