Today, Saturday and Sunday
Keokuk Community Weekend with the Burlington Bees will be held at Community Field in Burlington.
Tickets costing $3 are available at the Keokuk Area Chamber of Commerce office or by calling the Bees at 319-754-5705.
Game times are 7 p.m. today versus Beloit, 6 p.m. Saturday against Clinton and 2 p.m. Sunday versus Clinton.
Saturday is Cubs-Cards Rivalry Night. The Bees are a Class A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals.
The Lee County Fair continues at the fairgrounds in Donnellson.
Today is Senior Day with several activities for seniors. At 2 p.m. 150 senior women will receive carnations, and senior bingo will begin at the Learning Center.
Friday Night Thunder in the Heartland will be held at the grandstand. David Kroll and Heartland will perform from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
Saturday's schedule includes the Kevin Young Memorial one-mile run/walk at 8 a.m. at the Learning Shelter shelter house and the Aulden VanWinkle Memorial Chess Tournament at 9 a.m. at the entertainment tent.
The demolition derby begins at 7 p.m., and the Moneyshot will follow at 9:30 p.m. in the entertainment tent.
Sunday's schedule includes an antique tractor pull at noon at the grandstand and open dog show at 2 p.m. at the show barn.
The street truck pull will be held at 5 p.m. at the grandstand.

An independent production of Thornton Wilder's “Our Town” will be held at the First Christian Church in Keokuk.
A pre-show reception will be held at 7 p.m. today, followed by the play at 8 p.m. A dessert discussion will be held after the show. Tickets cost $20.
The show will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday night, with doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $10.
Tickets are available at Courtyard Books, Artworks and the chamber office.

The Farmers Market is set for 7 to 11 a.m. at the River City Mall parking lot in Keokuk. Vegetables, plants and a variety of homemade items will be available.
Sunday
Members of the core cast of the Nauvoo Pageant will perform a benefit musical concert at 7 p.m. at the Grand Theatre, Keokuk.
The hour-long musical concert will feature numbers from Broadway plays.
There is no charge for the concert, but free will donations will be accepted. All donations will go to Main Street Keokuk, Inc. to benefit its programs.
