Friday

Keokuk Business and Professional Women's Club annual Pancake Day from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., at River City Mall. Cost is $4.

Keokuk candidates forum from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Hawkeye Restaurant, Keokuk. Candidates for mayor and city council in Keokuk are invited.

Friday and Saturday

Midwest Riverboat Buffs meet, programs at United Presbyterian Church, 102 Main St., Keokuk. Gabfest at 7 p.m., Friday.

Saturday, programs featuring Doug Atterberg, Keokuk historian, addressing President Theodore Roosevelt's 1907 visit to Keokuk at 1:30 p.m.; Annie and Jim Blum of St. Louis recalling their memories of the Admiral, a famous Streckfus excursion boat at 2:15 p.m.; and guest speaker Gerald Matter of Nauvoo, Ill., and a slide show on China's Yangtze River at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday

Keokuk High School Girls Sports Boosters craft sale, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wright Fieldhouse, Keokuk High School.

Family fall festival from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Tolmie Park, Keokuk. Games, prizes, food, bake sale and children's decorating bike show. Proceeds to benefit Shriners Hospital.

Torrence Elementary School Fun Night from 5 to 7 p.m. at the school, 1721 Fulton St., Keokuk. Games, cake walk and food for sale. Tickets, 25-cents, available at the door for door prizes.

Saturday and Sunday

21st annual Autumn Historic Folklife Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday on Main Street, Hannibal, Mo.

Sunday

Barbary Coast Dixieland Band 5 to 8 p.m., at Quality Inn and Suites, Hannibal, Mo. Tickets are $15 for adults, $7 for students. Food and refreshments served during the concert.
