Results from 30th annual Strawberry Strut

CARTHAGE, Ill. - The 30th annual Strawberry Strut Saturday in Carthage with 75 participants in the one-mile race and 135 participants in the five-mile races.
Jared Schmidt of Liberty, Ill., won the five-mile run in the men's division. He finished with a time of 28:32. Mike Nelson of Danville was second with a time of 31:41, and Ryan Kappner of Quincy, Ill, took third with a time of 33:39.
Theresa Brokaw of Champaign, Ill., was the overall winner in the five-mile run in the female division. She finished with a time of 33:18.
