Hancock County's Fourth of July celebration in Carthage, Ill., kicks off from 6:30 to 9 a.m. Friday with a pancake and sausage breakfast.
Fireworks at 8:30 p.m. at Illini West High School football field concludes the first day's activities.
An adult dance featuring The Brat Pack and TNT is scheduled from 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday.
A community church service on the square at 8 a.m. Sunday caps the three-day event.

Friday
Keokuk will celebrate the Fourth of July holiday with a full day of activities, starting with a disc golf tournament at 8:30 a.m. and ending with fireworks at about 9:30 p.m. at Rand Park.
Other activities will include a kid's parade at 10 a.m., karaoke contest from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., a watermelon eating contest at 3 p.m. and music by TNT at 6:30 p.m.

Donnellson's annual Fourth of July parade begins at 6 p.m. with the theme “America the Beautiful - Right Here in Donnellson, Iowa.”
The parade lines up at Maple and Oak streets and proceeds up Highway 218, turns west on Fruit Street past Fairview Housing, turns north past the Donnellson Health Center then east on State Street, ending at the IDOT maintenance shed/headquarters.
Saturday
“The Last Champion,” a documentary film about the Civil War in the West, will be shown at 6:30 p.m. at the Grand Theatre in Keokuk.
The focus of the film is the fall of Vicksburg, Miss., and the climactic battle of Champion-Hill. The 15th Iowa Regiment from Keokuk took part in this campaign. Many descendants of the Iowa Regiment live in Keokuk today.
Admission is $10. Advance tickets costing $7 are available at Keasling's Drug Store in Keokuk.
A reception will follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Keokuk.
