Loebsack rep in Keokuk Thursday to discuss flood assistance

Rep. Dave Loebsack will have a member of his staff in Keokuk Thursday to host a Flood Assistance Meeting for individuals, small business owners and farmers affected by the recent floods.
Jared Hershberger, Loebsack's district representative covering Lee County, will be at Keokuk City Hall, 415 Blondeau St., from 2 to 4 p.m. every Thursday in July to provide continued assistance to the people hardest hit by this disaster.
Flood Assistance Meetings are being held by Loebsack staff throughout the Second Congressional District to provide guidance on how to apply for state and federal disaster aid.
Hershberger also will be on hand to work with individuals who are having difficulty with one of the federal agencies charged with providing federal disaster assistance.
Residents who suffered losses due to the floods are encouraged to attend a Loebsack Flood Assistance Meeting, or to contact his office toll-free at 1-866-914-IOWA (4692) for assistance.
Residents are also encouraged to visit the Flood Assistance Information Center located on the Congressman's official Web site, www.loebsack.house.gov where they can access regularly updated information about how to apply for disaster assistance.
