Hancock County Health Department's infectious control coordinator Victoria Roberts said Wednesday the health department was investigating a report of E. coli.
“We're awaiting the test results on one person,” said Roberts. “There is no outbreak, contrary to some rumors.”
Contrary to reports, Warsaw Schools Superintendent Kim Schilson said the E coli source did not come from the school district.
Julie Schilling, administrator of the Lee County Health Department, said this morning there is one possible case the health department is investigating.
“The preliminary lab test indicates possible E. coli with a Lee County resident,” said Schilling. “We are waiting further confirmation of tests at the University of Iowa.
“We have not identified the source of contamination. We have not asked any business or facility to close in Lee County.”
