October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. An information booth is available at Southeastern Community College, Keokuk.
Early Iowa voting - 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily, Monday through Friday at the Lee County Auditor's Office (inside the South Lee County Courthouse), 25 N. Seventh St., Keokuk. Iowa residents can register and/or cast a vote in the November general election instead of waiting until Election Day, Nov. 4.

Keokuk Code Revision Committee meeting - 6 p.m., City Hall, Keokuk.
Torrence Elementary School PTO Fun Night - 5 to 7 p.m., Torrence School, 1721 Fulton St., Keokuk. Public invited. Admission is 25 cents. There will be games, a cakewalk, hair painting, prizes and food for sale. The book store will sell books.

Lee County Genealogical Society meeting - 6:30 p.m., Round Room, Keokuk Public Library. Following a short business meeting Dave and Fran Sprunger will give a history of the Nazarene Church in Keokuk. All interested persons are invited.

Warsaw School Board public hearing - 7 p.m., high school library, Warsaw, Ill., to waive the limitation on administrative costs. At 7:15 p.m. the board holds a public hearing to sell life/safety bonds to replace the 1957 building's roof. The regular school board meeting begins at 7:30 p.m.
Keokuk Coin Club meeting - 7:30 p.m., student lounge and cafeteria, Southeastern Community College south campus, 335 Messenger Road, Keokuk. Visitors and guests welcome.
