A Family Fright Night is set for 4 to 8 p.m. at the shelter house and garden area at Rand Park in Keokuk.
The first event of its kind will include games, hayrack rides, a fortune teller, a pumpkin carving contest, a scavenger hunt with adult supervision, ghost stories, pumpkins for sale and prizes.
The event is sponsored by the Keokuk Park and Recreation Advisory Board.
“Bootiful” Nauvoo's Halloween Festival returns to Nauvoo, Ill.
Hundreds of hand carved jack-o-lanterns illuminate Mulholland Street.
A ghosts and goblins parade starts at 6 p.m. Line up at 5:45 p.m. at the Nauvoo Grade School.
The Haunted Mine Haunted House is open from 6 to 9 p.m. in the basement of the Knights of Columbus Hall on Mulholland.
Dora's Halloween movie will be shown at 10:30 a.m. at the Krause Theater. Goosebumps' “Mostly Ghostly” begins at 4:30 p.m.
The Haunted Historic River Town Tour of Quincy is held at 10 a.m. from the Villa Kathrine at 532 Gardner Expressway, Quincy, Ill.
All seats are $15.

The Lee County Historical Society presents “Bats, Cats and Tales of the Macabre” in the Samuel L. Miller House in Keokuk.
Local actors Chuck Betts, Barb Edler, Karen Hustus, Tom Hayes, Tamela LaFoe, Debbie Marion, Shannon Tackes and David Wendt portray Edgar Allan Poe, Bram Stoker, Mary Shelley, H.G. Wells and other renowned writers.
Fifteen-minute tours will be conducted from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Tickets cost $5 for adults and $2.50 for students. Tickets are available at Courtyard Books and Keasling's Pharmacy in Keokuk and Carriage Works in Hamilton, Ill.
