Adam Foreman enjoys baseball
Adam Foreman moved to Keokuk in June from Des Moines.
He is the meat market manager at Hy-Vee in Keokuk.
Foreman also has worked at Hy-Vee stores in Dubuque, Marshalltown, Independence, Mo., and Des Moines.
He grew up and graduated in Tama.
“I am engaged to Cheri Forck and we are expecting our first child in December,” he said.
What food are you most famous for? I like to cook and smoke a variety of foods.
What kind of music do you enjoy? Wide variety, heavy metal, rap, alternative.
What are your hobbies? Golfing, building plastic airplane models, video games, playing sports, my aquarium.
Do you have a favorite pet (present or past)? Buddy. He was my guinea pig.
Where would you go if you won a trip anywhere in the world and why? Tough one. I think the Himalayas, because of the beautiful mountains.
What has been life's most rewarding experience for you? So far my experiences with the Iowa Air National Guard.
How many children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren do you have? One child on the way in December.
What is your least favorite food? Oysters.
What is your favorite food? Right now chili with cheese and crackers.
What makes a perfect summer day and how would you spend it if you could, anyway you wanted? Umpiring high school baseball on a sunny, 75 degree day.
Have a favorite sport to do or watch? My favorite sport is baseball.
Most memorable moment? Ask me in December. (Foreman and his fiancé are expecting their first child in December).

What do you do for fun? Spend time with friends and family.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? Snow plow driver, pilot.

If you could have dinner with any three people (living or dead) who would they be? Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy and George S. Patton.
What was your favorite subject in school? Geography.
What was your first job? Hardee's clerk.
What was/is your favorite style/piece of clothing? Baseball jersey.
Best word(s) of advice you've received? Don't accept good enough, as good enough.
Favorite movie of all time? “The Saint” with Val Kilmer.
What is your favorite ethnic food? Chinese.
How did you meet your spouse (if married)? Met my fiancé through some friends, and then we were friends for a while, and started dating.
Person you admire most and why? Two of my previous managers, because they are always there to help me with my career.
If you had a motto, what would it be? Some “problems” you may have may not be as big as they seem.
What is your most memorable and/or embarrassing food experience? Back in the day when my cousin and I were at my grandparents staying the night I was drinking chocolate milk and laughed so hard that it came through my nose.
What is your favorite recipe? Teriyaki salmon.

Teriyaki salmon
Ingredients:
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tsp. ground mustard
1 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
4 (6 oz.) salmon steaks
Directions:
In a large resealable plastic bag or shallow glass container, combine the first six ingredients; mix well.
Set aside 1/2 cup for basting and refrigerate. Add salmon to remaining marinade; cover and refrigerate for 1-1/2 hours, turning once.
Drain and discard marinade. Place the salmon on a broiler. Cook until done.
Will serve 4-6.
