Warsaw School Board meeting - 6:30 p.m., high school library, Warsaw, Ill. Agenda includes discussion and voting on a resolution to issue general obligation school bonds for roof repair; set a levy hearing for Dec. 18; set graduation date and time; discussion to join IESA to allow sixth grade students to participate in track; co-op junior high track with Nauvoo-Colusa as administrative head district; and set schedule of regular school board meetings for 2009. The board also plans to meet in closed session to discuss student issues and employment.

Guitar Hero contest - 5 to 8 p.m., student lounge at Southeastern Community College south campus, Keokuk. Cost is $2.50 for persons under 14 and $5 for ages 15 to adult. There also is a 50/50 raffle. Maidrites, hot dogs, chips and pop will be available for sale. Proceeds will be used by the Keokuk Business Club at SCC for Adopt-a-Family (or two or three) for Christmas and other community activities.
