Officers seize firearms, marijuana, ammo during raid on Bowen, Ill., home

BOWEN, Ill. –– A joint action including several law enforcement agencies arrested a Bowen, Ill., man Monday on weapons and drug charges, according to Hancock County Sheriff John Jefferson.
Mark Cameron, 32, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of more than 2.5 grams of cannabis but not more than 10 grams.
The charges stem from the execution of search warrant at Cameron’s home at about 10:45 a.m. Monday by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, West Central Illinois Task Force and Illinois State Police.
Inside Cameron’s home, officers seized numerous firearms, ammunition, drug paraphernalia and cannabis.
Cameron was taken into custody without incident and was held in the Hancock County Jail awaiting his first court appearance.
The case is under investigation.
