FORT MADISON – Sharon M. Huff, 75, of Fort Madison, passed away at 1:53 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

She was born June 20, 1948, in Kirksville, Missouri, to Victor L. and Elizabeth R. McMurray Anthony.

She married Richard E. Huff on July 24, 1966, at Santa Fe United Methodist Church in Fort Madison.

She babysat for numerous children over the years and was the church Secretary at Santa Fe United Methodist Church, and later worked for Fort Madison Community Hospital for 17 years. She was a member of Harmony Bible Church, Quilting Queens, Hancock County Quilts of Valor, Cradle of Hope, and the Harmony Bible Church Quilting Group. She enjoyed music, reading, playing her kazoo, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by her mother Betty Anthony of Fort Madison; husband Rick Huff of Fort Madison; two sons, Nick (Shelley) Huff of North Richland Hills, Texas, and Lance (Tammy) Huff of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; eight grandchildren: Nicole Schukow, Brandon Palmer, Baustin Quillen, Beux Quillen, Brielle Quillen, Heinze Huff, Rylan Huff, and Griffin Huff; four great-grandchildren: Dimitri, Anya, Addison, and Logan Schukow; and many special friends she has made along her journey.

She was preceded in death by her father; and sister Vicki Anthony.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.

A visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Monday, March 25 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.

The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 26 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory, with the Rev. Matt Mitchell officiating. Burial will be at Greenglade Cemetery in Farmington.

A memorial has been established for Quilts of Valor.
