HANNIBAL, Mo. – As part of its ongoing search, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is asking for the public’s help identify the remains of a young woman that were found Sept. 15 in the Mississippi River near Sawyers Creek in Marion County south of Hannibal, Mo.

The remains of Jane Hannibal Doe2013 indicate that she had died several days prior to being discovered.

The young woman is believed to have been between 15 to 30 years old.

She had dark brown or black hair, was approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighed around 135 pounds.

When the body of the young woman was recovered she was wearing an extra-large, multi-colored striped short-sleeved shirt, size 13/14 Ariya brand jeans and had a decorative ring in her possession.

The public is urged to call 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678) with any information about the identity of Jane Hannibal Doe 2013.

Calls may be made anonymously.

The investigation into the identity of the young woman is being conducted the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department.
