For the Daily Gate City
Well known artist Pablo will perform his unique style of flute playing and storytelling for Keokuk's Annual Bald Eagle Appreciation Days at the River City Mall, Keokuk.
This will be his second performance in Keokuk.
Pablo holds three college degrees from three different countries: a bachelor of arts, Oklahoma City University; master's of arts, University of Mexico and a doctorate degree at the University of Puerto Rico.
He and his wife, Consuelo Rivera de Baum of Bogota Columbia, have resided in Mexico, Mo., since 1979.
Pablo's boyhood in central Oklahoma placed him in contact with a variety of common and not-so-common musical instruments, and in later years his fascination with music led him to the instrument he had always loved the most - the Native North American flute.
His own particular style of storytelling blending with the voice of the instrument has given him his own degree of uniqueness.
The Native American flute is a hauntingly beautiful art-form from a remote and primal past. He blends it's voice with that of his own in poetic narration of history and stories to evoke images of the mind and heart.
The Keokuk Area Convention and Tourism Bureau invites everyone to come and listen to Pablo during this year's Native American Events at the River City Mall in Keokuk.
