Today

L-Bird Fly-In and Convention starts at the Keokuk Municipal Airport-Lindner Field.

Mexican Fiesta will be held at 34th Street and Avenue Q, Fort Madison. Events include vendors, live bands, contests, street dancing and more.

Farmers Market runs  from 4 to 6 p.m. at Ralston Park, Warsaw, Ill.

Keokuk Public Library will show “42,” the life story of Jackie Robinson, at 6 p.m. The event is free.

FRIDAY

L-Bird Fly-In and Convention continues at the Keokuk Municipal Airport-Lindner Field.

Mexican Fiesta continues at 34th Street and Avenue Q, Fort Madison. Events include vendors, live bands, contests, street dancing and more.

End of Summer Motorcycle Rally opens at noon at the Van Buren County Fairgrounds, Iowa 1 North, Keosauqua. Weekend admission costs $30; $25 in advance. Food and camping, free firewood and hot showers will be available.

Big River United Way fundraiser is from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m at Keokuk Hy-Vee Gas. Also, Hy-Vee will serve hot dogs and hamburgers from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Big River United Way.

Farmington Farmers Market runs from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Farmington riverfront shelterhouse. New vendors are welcome.

Artist reception for Connie Rumford will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Fort Madison Area Arts Association, 825 Avenue G. Appetizers will be served. The exhibition can be viewed from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Lights, Camera, Action presents “La Bamba” at 7 p.m. in Central Park, Fort Madison. Refreshments will be available.

SATURDAY

End of Summer Motorcycle Rally continues at the Van Buren County Fairgrounds, Iowa 1 North, Keosauqua.

Pancake Breakfast will be hosted by Jackson Township Fire Association from 6 a.m. to noon at 3640 Argle Road, rural Keokuk.

Farmers Market will be held from 7 to 11 a.m. in the River City Mall parking lot.

Monarch butterfly tagging with Lee County Conservation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at Wilson Lake County Park, rural Franklinn. The cost is $2 per person.

Bentonsport Flea Market and Craft Show is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. along the riverside park in Bentonsport. New vendors are welcome.

Frontier Settlement Day  will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Log Cabin Village in Quinsippi Island Park, Quincy, Ill. Displays and re-enactors of the 1800s will be featured. The day also will include candle-dipping, rope, toy and brick-making and baking. A Walk for the Log Cabin Village will occur in the morning before the activities.

Taste of Chocolate will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Whiteley Opera House in Bonaparte.

SUNDAY
